ready for the new year? my resolutions aren't about changing myself, because i feel that if you want to change yourself, you shouldn't have to wait for the new year. but i am taking advantage of the new year, by making a memory jar: i get a clean jar, and i place it in my room. throughout the course of the year, whenever something incredible happens, i write a little note describing that event and put it in the jar. then in 2014, i will empty the jar and read through all the awesome stuff that has happened. what's your resolution? :)

SORRY ABOUT THE MALFUNCTION. I'VE RESIZED IT!!
All of my halloween outfits have been pretty much 'inspired' as opposed to a full on character outfit, so that you guys don't have to go out and buy actual outfits and can reuse what you already have. But i feel like this outfit is so simple to mimic with your own wardrobe that even though it's a replica of her outfit, you don't necessarily need to buy a certain costume! The only thing you may need to buy is a purple headband, because not a lot of us wear those these days

Use the items in your wardrobe to make your own halloween costume! Here i paired a regular wrap around top to imitate mulan's kimono, alongside a green maxi pencil skirt to imitate the bottom of her kimono. I then paired the outfit with some flats studded with a gold cap toe, to put a twist on mulan's rather simple black flats. She doesn't wear any jewellery but she DOES wear a rose clip in her hair, which i've also incorporated. Perhaps not the best colour combination, but on halloween, who really cares? :P

Want to dress up for Halloween as your favourite disney character? I've shown you a way to wear your regular clothes like a top and a skirt alongside a wooden bangle and lace up boots (lace up boots are very in for fall/autumn fashion!), And transform yourself into Pocahontas!

Turn ordinary clothes into halloween costumes! Take an oversized orange sweater, some slouchy black boots, a leather belt and a fedora (you can tape a feather to it), and you've got yourself a puss in boots inspired halloween costume!
Why not invite friends to dress up as the rest of the cast of Shrek and go to a halloween party together?
